i cant believe a large group of adult men rigged a survey to vote for the best animated kids show of 2013 by creating scripts that automatically vote for my little pony a million times i feel like were living in a bizarro alternate universe of the real true timeline where bronies are fairytale creatures that only exist in legends
"My body, my choice" only makes sense when someone else’s life isn’t at stake.
Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.
See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.
Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.
To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.
You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.

In health class we were given sheets of paper and told to write a message we would want someone of the opposite sex to know
She read some examples
The girls were like: “Hey can you please not treat me like shit”
The boys were like: “Spray tans look ugly I hate when girls wear too much makeup and don’t lead me on.”

Disney Princess Movies before and after name changes.
"how can we improve these titles?"
well…if you think about it logically… Disney has been doing this for a long time…Aladdin, Pocahontas…A single word title is memorable, it holds well when passed through word of mouth and will come up in a lot of searches over the internet, spreading easily. its just all around more memorable and profitable to condense en entire movie/plot into a single, memorable, 3 grade or below word…think about it…”mommy i want to see the bear and the bow” to “mommy can we see brave? that brave movie with the girl. mommy mommy brave!”
as accurate as the above statement is they also did it due to low sales from the Princess and the Frog, due to young boys not seeing the movies because of the gendered titles. which when you think about it is kinda dumb, considering i’m sure many young girls went to see the first harry potter movie when it first came out. (so in the end it all comes back to gender roles, which is kind of sad.) The bear and the Bow is excluded from this though because the original writer was kicked off the team at some point and they changed the name. (i think she was the writer, i’m not sure)
